The Hohe Tauern National Park is a nature reserve with unique flora and fauna, situated right on our doorstep. Enjoy a guided hiking tour with a tour operator to experience the view from over 3,000 metres or take a gentle stroll around the village. You can of course also discover the region’s alpine and mountain world for yourself, such as the Maiskogel, the Schmittenhöhe or the Kitzsteinhorn. On the Piesendorf panorama nature trail 10 display boards provide informative and interesting facts about the development of the Hohe Tauern national park, amphibian migration and the development of the “frog fence”.
